Bath Aid – Oh What a Night!

Wishing wells are hard to come by….wishing baths on the other hand…

Bath Aid last month organised by Angela Pawson & Dave Pawson at The Bramley Villagers on Broad Lane, brought Friends & Supporters of Bramley Baths together in a big ballroom (there’s a lot of b’s in this post Ed), to enjoy the acoustic and plugged-in talents of The Sideliners, Washburn Valley, The Angie Shaw Band and Street Legal. Tickets included a buffet supper made by a small army of sandwich-buttering geniuses. Lots of you volunteered to help decorate the venue, sell tickets, contribute raffle prizes and help with the event organisation. We can’t thank you enough for your support, great ideas and for joining in! Thanks to everyone’s support, the night raised £838.30 – an amazing result. The money will go towards setting up the new social enterprise which opens in January 2013.

Massive thanks to the organisers, the musicians, to the team at The Bramley Villagers Social Club (if you haven’t been recently, it’s under new management & worth a visit), the staff at Bramley Baths & BARCA reception who sold tickets, the volunteers – and especially – thanks to all of you who bought a ticket. Thanks to Rachel Reeves MP & her team for their contribution to the raffle & to UNISON for making a donation of £50.00 towards the event – it’s much appreciated!

We hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did?
