Open Afternoon & Mermaid Gala

MERMAIDS - 08

Photo by Lizzie Coombes taken in the pool with Yorkshire Life Aquatic. Come and hunt for other mermaid sightings displayed around the building on 29 September.

Sunday 29 September, 12.30-4.30pm, £1 entry per person.

This Autumn, Bramley Baths is combining a fun afternoon for all ages, with a chance to see the work of Yorkshire Life Aquatic, who have been developing a pool-performance inspired by synchronised swimming and the golden age of Hollywood. It’s a chance to invite new visitors to the baths, and for all those who support the baths, to get together for swimming, steam, demonstrations, a bike-surgery and plenty of cake made by the Friends.

Join us for:

  • Yorkshire Life Aquatic Performances (1pm and 4pm)
  • Mermaid photography exhibition by Lizzie Coombes
  • Swimming Stories (sound installation with members of Bramley Elderly Action)
  • A seaside photo booth
  • Kids shark inflatable (2.30pm-3.30pm)
  • General Swim (1.30pm-2.15pm)
  • Mini-steam (adults)
  • Gym tours
  • CPR and fitness demonstrations
  • A pirate ride
  • Bike repair surgery with The Pedallers’ Arms
  • …and a cake stall run by the Friends.

You don’t need a ticket, just come on down. Fliers and posters are available at Bramley Baths if you’d like to share details with friends or neighbours – especially people in West Leeds who haven’t visited the baths recently.
